Superliner Privacy Policy
Effective 22 October 2026
Applies to Superliner for macOS, published by Can Burak Sofyalioglu (“we”, “us”). Contact: [email protected].
This policy describes what Superliner does with information. In short: Superliner keeps your notes on your Mac, has no account, collects no analytics, and makes no network connections in this version.
1. Information stored on your Mac
Superliner stores what you write in a workspace folder that you choose on your Mac. The folder holds:
- your notes, supertags, fields, saved searches and settings for the workspace, as JSON;
- a Markdown copy of your notes, generated automatically in the same folder, so other tools can read them;
- backups that you create, which are copies of the workspace folder.
Superliner also keeps small preferences on your Mac, such as window layout, the accent colour, keyboard shortcuts, the Quick Capture shortcut and which sidebar items are pinned. These are stored in the app’s preferences, outside your notes.
We do not receive or store any of this information. It stays in the folder you chose and in your Mac’s preferences. Deleting the folder, or removing the app, deletes it.
2. Network
This version of Superliner makes no network requests. It does not send your notes, settings or any other information off your Mac. The Privacy Policy item in the Help menu opens this policy in your web browser; Superliner itself sends nothing.
3. No account, no tracking, no analytics
- Superliner has no account and no sign-in.
- Superliner does not use analytics, advertising identifiers, tracking pixels or third-party tracking SDKs.
- Superliner does not include a crash-reporting service. Crash reports that macOS creates are controlled by you through macOS settings and are not sent by Superliner.
- We do not sell or share personal data, because we do not receive it.
4. Future online features
The app has no AI feature and no online service.
5. Data we do not collect
We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, health or financial information, device identifiers or usage statistics.
6. Children
Superliner is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
7. Your choices and deletion
- Delete your data: move or delete the workspace folder, or remove Superliner from your Mac. Because we hold no copy, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
- Export: you can export your notes to Markdown from within the app at any time.
8. Security
Your notes are plain files in a folder you choose, so protect the folder with your Mac’s account and disk protections. Superliner does not encrypt the folder itself.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will change the effective date above and, for material changes, tell you in the app or on this page before the change applies.
